Everyman Media Group has reported a sales increase of 16% to £28.8m in the 26 weeks ending 4 July. The cinema group now holds a market share of 3%, which includes a portfolio of 28 venues and 92 screens, with a further 15 new venues planned over the coming years. Adjusted EBITDA increased by 61% to £6.6 million, up from the £4.1 million figure recorded the year prior.
Crispin Lilly, CEO at Everyman confirms the expansion plans underway –
“The appetite for Everyman has never been stronger with our continued roll-out allowing us to deliver exceptional experiences to more audiences across the UK with our increasing footprint. Our ambitious roll out continues both in the UK and with our first international site, which is due to open in Ireland next year.”
To date, contracts have been exchanged on venues in London Kings Road and Chelsea, Dublin, Dawson Street and Egham, in addition to deals in Cardiff, Northallerton, Plymouth, Lincoln, London’s Borough Market, Tunbridge Wells, Durham, Wokingham and Edinburgh.
Speaking of exchanged contracts, Everyman will be opening its’ shiny doors to cinema goers in 3 new exquisite venues located in Broadgate City of London, Clitheroe and Manchester.
London Broadgate, the 1st of these three new openings offers cinema goers a choice of 3 plush screens, complimented by an eclectic range of food and beverages. The new cinema is now open, so don’t miss out on key movie releases such as Joker, Judy & The Goldfinch all showing here!
Everyman Clitheroe – located in Holmes Mill – will be the next screen to open to the public open just in time for Halloween, with the grand opening on Friday 18th October. The new venue will house 4 luxurious screens and an elegant bar area, so you can relax and enjoy your screening in both style and comfort!
And finally, the plush 3 screen Manchester St. Johns – located on Quay Street- will open to the public on Friday 1st November, so stay tuned for some movie magic coming near you!
